It’s usually around this time of the year when we have finished the gluttony of our festive season and we’ve realised that by making the most of Christmas we have infact gained a few lbs in the process, obviously this hasn’t helped our 2012 fitness goals.
With the short hours of daylight, the stress of Christmas and this nasty cold spell we have been suffering you may be finding it especially hard to motivate yourselves this year. Good news is that you’re back around to that same time of year where you have enough time to do something about it, before the summer is here!
This winter I’d like to encourage to put your best effort into finding a form of exercise or activity that you haven’t done before or not at least for a very long time; one that you will actually will enjoy and look forward to doing; one that’s going to motivate you to do it often, even on those dark wintry nights, something that is going to make you smile. This will go along way to ensuring you have your best winters training ever!
If you enjoy something you’ll do it more often and if it makes you feel good you will work harder whilst doing it; exercise that is done consistently with more effort will give you more results!
Good luck with your 2012 health & fitness goals; just remember to have fun whilst exercising this winter!
